What is inaam?
inaam is an impact investing platform designed for everyday Australians who want their money to reflect their values. We help you invest in global companies tackling real problems - like clean energy, better food systems, and circular waste - without needing a finance degree.
We build personalised portfolios for you, using what you care about to match you with the right impact investments. Then we help you grow it, track the results, and actually see the good you're doing.
-
What are the “buckets”?
When you invest with inaam, your money goes into five investment themes. We call them buckets. That reflect big areas of real-world impact: Health & Wellbeing, Renewable Energy, Waste Recycling, Sustainable Agriculture and Sustainable Consumption
Each bucket contains a curated mix of companies chosen for both their financial strength and their social or environmental impact. You don’t have to pick stocks — we do the work based on our Investment & Impact Methodology.
When you join, we guide you through a values-based onboarding process that helps us build a micro-portfolio tailored to you, usually drawing from 3–5 of these buckets.
-
What exactly am I investing in?
You’re investing in a curated mix of global listed companies — stocks that are publicly traded on major exchanges. These companies are selected for:
Strong financial fundamentals (like profitability and resilience),
A track record of meaningful environmental or social impact,
Alignment with your values.
We’re not a trading app, and we’re not chasing fads. This is long-term investing with purpose.
-
Is inaam licensed?
inaam operates under a Corporate Authorised Representative (CAR) of a licensed Australian Financial Services (AFS) license holder.
That means we’re legally allowed to provide general investment services in Australia and are regulated by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC). Your money is handled by professional custodians and brokers, and we don’t touch your funds directly.
We’re also structured as a Managed Investment Scheme, which ensures fairness and transparency in how returns are distributed to investors.
-
How do I earn returns?
As the companies in your portfolio perform - financially and in impact - you benefit.
You earn returns based on the portion of the fund you own (called units). These may come from:
Capital gains (as the value of your units grow),
Dividends (when companies pay them),
Reinvested impact — you can also see things like tonnes of CO₂ prevented or kilowatts of clean energy generated, tracked over time.
We balance profit with purpose — we want you to grow your money and grow your impact.
-
How much does it cost?
$10 per month. Flat fee.
That covers everything: the portfolio curation, the app, the impact tracking, and access to the Learning Lab. We don’t charge based on how much you invest, and there are no surprise fees. Transparent and simple - like it should be.
-
What do I get in the app?
When you log in, you’ll see:
Your personalised investment portfolio
Real-time company info and performance
Trackable social/environmental impact
Your investing goals
A bite-sized Learning Lab to build your skills
You can invest monthly, pause anytime, and grow your understanding as you go. It’s finance, but finally explained.
-
Is this financial advice?
No. Everything we provide is general information only.
inaam doesn’t know your full personal financial situation, so we can’t give personal financial advice. If you’re unsure, we always recommend speaking to a licensed financial adviser before making any big decisions.

What is the inaam “Impact Loop”?
We believe in putting our profits where our values are.
So once we’re profitable, we’ve committed to reinvesting up to 50% of our own profits after year five into youth employment, grassroots climate solutions, and regenerative community projects - especially those led by underrepresented Australians.
It’s not just about what your money does. It’s about what our money does too.
